Why You Probably Aren’t Washing Your Sheets Enough

Be honest - when was the last time you washed your sheets. Can’t remember? You might want to consider washing your sheets more often.
When you crawl into bed after a long day, you're not the only one invited to the party. Dander, sweat, dead skin cells, makeup, dirt and oils are but a few of the lurkers hiding in you sheets. Despite showering every day or keeping your hygiene routine on point, humans shed millions of skin cells a day - and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The bottom line? You might be surprised as to just how dirty your sheets really are.
If you're wondering how often you should wash your sheets, once a week is best. Every other week is a stretch. Monthly is a no go. If you sweat a lot, washing your sheets weekly is crucial - especially during the summer. Over time, bacteria and dust mites begin to feast on all you’ve left behind after a good night’s sleep. To keep those bad boys from multiplying, implement a weekly laundry routine dedicated to your sheets ASAP.
To wash your sheets - including The Endy Sheets - the right way, follow these four easy steps:
Choose a quality laundry detergent. We recommend The Laundress.
Wash your bedding separately from the rest of your laundry. Turn your bedding and pillow cases inside out and roll them into a ball before placing into the machine. This will prevent your bed sheets from getting tangled together.
Use warm water - never hot - to wash your sheets, in a normal cycle.
Tumble dry your sheets on a low to medium setting, in a normal cycle. Sheets can also be hung to dry.
Shake out your freshly dried sheets and put them back on your bed, or fold them right away. Or, if you like your sheets just so, iron on a low setting. Luckily - The Endy Sheets are wrinkle-resistant, meaning deep set wrinkles shouldn't be an issue, and the sheets tend to smooth themselves out after one night's use.
Don’t forget about those pillows! Dust mites love them. It’s important to wash your pillows seasonally to avoid allergies and replace them about every five years. The Endy Pillows are washing machine friendly and hypoallergenic, too.
